Leslie Giordani primarily represents ultra high net worth individuals and family offices in the design and implementation of domestic and offshore trust, investment, and life insurance structures, including the tax planning and compliance aspects of such structures. She also consults generally to major financial institutions and boutique financial service providers on matters of interest to the ultra high net worth marketplace and provides specific assistance to hedge fund and fund of funds managers in connection with their business relationships with insurance carriers.
Ms. Giordani is board certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law (Texas Board of Legal Specialization), is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, and is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). She serves as an appointed Advisory Council Member of the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA), and is a member of the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting (AALU) and the American Bar Association (Tax, Real Property, Probate and Trust, and International Law Sections).
A frequent author and speaker in the areas of life insurance, asset protection, and foreign trust planning, Ms. Giordani serves as a contributing author of the four-volume treatise, Asset Protection: Domestic and International Law and Tactics (Thomson/West Group, updated quarterly), and has also been quoted in various publications, including HedgeWorld’s Inside Edge, Absolute Return, and Fundfire.com. She participates regularly as a faculty member of the University of Miami’s Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning, speaks regularly at the ALI-ABA seminar on International Trust and Estate Planning, and the State Bar of Texas advanced estate planning seminars, as well as numerous other specialized educational forums in the areas of estate planning, tax, investments, and life insurance.
